free clothing day

In November 2009, Genesis Church, along with many community leaders and friends, came together to offer a Free Clothing Day at Boyne Elementary School. Surrounding communities donated new and gently used clothing and shoes which were made available to anyone in need for free. Many volunteers came to help set up tables, sort and organize clothes, and haul unused clothing. When asked why Genesis was doing this, point-person Jamie Woodall responded, "In our declining present-day economy, it’s so important that we rally our resources in order to encourage one another and move forward in life. That’s real community! And that’s definitely one thing God wants us to do for each other.”
